Latest Update 05th September 2008
Hi Everyone. Thanks for checking in. Our Charity Week for the McMillan Nurses is finally over and we've posted all the photos in the albums, have a look they are hilarious.
We had lots of fun all week with our crazy events such as "Shifty's McMillan Regatta" and Louis doing 24 hour drag. Perhaps the hardest tasks we set were for Cerys and Matt, who completed a 24 hour silence, and the annual tying to the pole for 24 hours respectively. Cerys did so well not speaking for a whole day, but she said that it was one of the hardest things she's ever done and she has absolutely no intention of ever doing it again! Shame, Cerys, we all had a lovely day!! Hee hee.
We ended the week with our "Record Breakers" afternoon on Tuesday which entailed Shifty eating beans with a cocktail stick, Matt swimming lengths of the pool, Louis tap dancing, Natalie skipping, Caroline blowing up balloons, Cerys and the longest conga line and Frank (one of our lovely guests) attaching pegs to his person!
We set ourselves a target of 2008 Euros and it was touch and go if we would make it, as we needed to raise a whopping 900 euros on Tuesday alone. But our fantastic guests came through for us and as we finished Tuesday night with our grand auction, the final figure of money raised was 2040 euros, so we were all very pleased.
I would just like to say a huge thankyou to all of our guests who helped us raise this money for such a wonderful cause. We couldn't have done it with out you and every single donation, no matter how small was gratefully received and helped us reach our goal.
Thankyou.
