Latest Update 12th April 2012
Hi Everyone.
I hope you all had a lovely Easter and that bunny brought you lots of lovely chocolate eggs and yummy hot cross buns. We've had a very relaxing time, doing nothing much of anything really, and we're loving it. We're over half way through our annual break from the Coronas with only two and a half weeks to go, so I'm determined to make the most of it. The sun is shining over here in Lanzarote so I've been lazing around the pool, soaking up the rays and I'm beginning to get my tan back.
We've recently taken delivery of a new keyboard, which is very exciting. It's a Korg PA3, which means absolutely nothing to me, but apparently it's the "keyboard of keyboards" and we'll never need to buy another one. Which is just as well as it cost an arm and half a leg! Lez is happy as Larry, spending loads of time with it, figuring out all the buttons and knobs, and hopefully soon we'll be able to knuckle down and learn some new songs.
I'm still doing my jogging and exercising with my trusty i-pod, and scaring off the kids as sing along at the top of my voice to the good old Bay City Rollers on the outside gym outside the hotel. I invested in a set of dumbbells too, so now I alternate between jogging and weight training. It's not a pretty site to be honest, and I'm not really sure if it's having the desired effect, but I enjoy it, so what the heck.
So a couple of weeks and then it's back to the grind stone, I'm not really ready yet, but I've got a little time to gee myself up and I'm sure I'll be raring to go by the 1st of May. Sadly we've learned that we won't be working with our Tony again this summer, which is a real blow, as he was so much fun and an absolute joy to work with. We'll really miss him, but we wish him all the best and hope that he has a great time in Cyprus where he'll be working at the Atlantica Golden Beach Hotel in Paphos. We will be joined by Stuart and April, who are both lovely people, so I'm certain that we're going to have a great season.
